How to play
- Stretch a wall and watch the run refill itself, with the sink staying under the window
- Tap any unit and turn it into drawers, a pan drawer or an open shelf
- Switch the base fronts from white oak to a gloss lacquer and look at the island from the doorway
- Change the worktop to Calacatta and see the wall units reflected in it
- Open a cabinet, choose a hinge and closing action, then add shelves, a basket or an organiser
- Open Drawings & BOM for plans, elevations and a manufacturer document
- Choose View → Enter XR on compatible hardware and interact using the controllers

Planning a kitchen often starts with a drawing that is hard to picture as a finished room. Showrooms answer that with a sample door in the hand and a rendering that arrives a week later. We built this to find out whether a browser could bring those steps together: lay the kitchen out, dress it, light it and draw it well enough to decide from, on the customer's own phone.
Built, not modelled
There is no model in this experiment. Every carcass, door, drawer, worktop, handle and plinth is generated when the page opens, from a list of units that fits itself to the walls you set: corners first, the sink under the window, the hob clear of the talls, the dishwasher beside the sink, fillers where a run does not divide. Change a wall, and the run refills; tap a unit, and it becomes something else.
Photoreal on a phone
What makes a kitchen look real is small: a 3 mm shadow line between doors, a plinth set back in the dark, the underside of the wall units on the splashback, the window in the worktop. Each of those is drawn, not painted. A live reflection probe captures the kitchen you have built, so a gloss door reflects its surroundings. Quality adapts to the device and desktop rendering stops when the scene is still, reducing unnecessary GPU work.
Open it, inspect it, specify it
Walk through from first person and open the doors and drawers. Choose a hinge, compare soft and slower closing, and inspect shelves, baskets, bins and organisers inside the cabinet. On compatible WebXR hardware, controllers can open fronts, move you to a clear floor position and operate a menu inside the scene.
Drawings & BOM presents dimensioned plans and elevations alongside a cabinet schedule and parts list. Print or save a PDF, or download individual drawings as SVG, to discuss the design with a manufacturer, who can confirm dimensions, hardware and machining details before production.
Where this goes next
The kitchen here is ours, but the method is a manufacturer's: their range, their rules about what can go where, drawn in their finishes from a link on their site, with the design carried in the address so a customer can send it to a partner or a fitter. It is the same base we would use for wardrobes, bathrooms, a fit-out studio's finish board or a developer's unit-by-unit options.
Everything runs in the browser from static files. There is no server behind it, no account and nothing to install.

Can you build this around our cabinet catalogue?
Yes. Bcube can scope a custom configurator around your unit sizes, finishes, fittings and layout rules. The Lab shows a demonstration range; your catalogue and manufacturing constraints would be reviewed before a production build.
Can customers use it on our website and on a phone?
This demo runs in a browser on desktop, phone and tablet without an account or app install. A commissioned version can be integrated into your website. Supported devices, loading budgets and any enquiry or CRM integration are agreed during scoping.
Does it support VR headsets and controllers?
The demo includes WebXR interaction on compatible hardware and browsers. Desktop and touch controls remain available. A client project needs testing on the specific headsets and controllers it will support.
Are the drawings ready for cabinet production?
The plans, elevations and bill of materials describe the current design for manufacturer review. They are not approved CNC or cutting instructions. Your manufacturer must confirm site dimensions, hardware, clearances, machining and worktop templates.
What should we send to start a project?
Share your catalogue, unit dimensions, finish samples, fitting rules and a description of how customers will use the configurator. Include target devices, required integrations and any launch deadline. Bcube will review the brief and propose a scope.
